You will miss the Beach Fashion (Swimsuit Segment) of Miss World, but not by much, I reckon.

You will miss the Beach Fashion (Swimsuit Segment) of Miss World, but not by much, I reckon.

With the news report saying that there will no longer be a swimsuit round in Miss World 2015, it did not really make people scream in disappointment. It’s not like the ladies in bikinis are the most eagerly-awaited visions of the competition. In fact, it has been a gradual pull-out, if I may say. Any avid follower of the London-based pageant will have already noticed the lessening of focus on the same. In fact, this year’s version of the Beach Fashion Challenge is just like a poor excuse to complete the number of fast-track events the ladies can sub-compete in.

Now, if Julia Morley really wants to revolutionize the way people look at the brand, then her think-tank team should come up with valuable options to make up for the removal. This is where the real challenge lies. Unlike Donald Trump whose Miss Universe thrives in glorifying the candidates in their skimpy two-piece swimwear, Miss World should set a trend with something new. Beauty With A Purpose is very gratifying, for sure. They just need to level up and become the benchmark of how cause-oriented annual events are conducted from now on.

So do I see a fluorishing Oxford Debate Challenge in 2015? ;-)
