At the rate things are going, this year’s edition of the nationals is looking more and more like the year of the repeaters. And I’m not yet counting in the likes of Patricia Ejercitado and Nichole Manalo who are also being talked about as taking part again.
The good thing about these ladies is that they have already polished themselves way ahead of the newbies/first-timers who will enlist as well. And if BPCI would care to look at the progressive side of things, making them win most of the crowns could equal less effort in basic training and focus on the more demanding parts of international pageant participation.
One setback I can see, though, is that – except for 22 year-old Ali Forbes – none among them can vie for Bb. Pilipinas International anymore due to age restrictions of the Japan-based tilt. But hey, there are four more honors to fight for. ;-)
