Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco could have been a Hollywood star in her younger years, with a face that can easily land lead female roles in some movies with the big names in Tinseltown. And just like her slight deadringer (and fellow South African) actress Charlize Theron, she was born in Africa (Zimbabwe to be exact) as Charlene Lynette Wittstock.
When Charlene married Prince Albert II of Monaco, she literally gave up most of her private life and was thrusted to the demands of life in the monarchy, just like her husband’s mother (Grace Kelly) who left a career in Hollywood to start anew in the rich principality. And right before Christmas of 2014, she became a mother to twins, Gabriella and Jacques.
Princess Charlene continues to lead an active public life, especially with the Special Olympics where she has been named one of its Global Ambassadors.
