Is Miss Universe ready for an edgy-looking winner?

I would be floored, but at the same time thrilled seeing a Miss Universe who is styled like this.

But at the rate that her latest pictures are coming out left and right, it appears that Gabriela is bent on invading Russia with short tresses and a look so modern that could test the pageant’s attitude towards a potential winner who exudes more spunk than swank.

If you ask me, I’m very much ready to see a Miss Universe titleholder who exudes a far more different vibe – edgy if you will – than what the usual profile suggests. And I think the Miss Universe Organization could benefit positively – be it through publicity or social network buzz or favorable sentiments from the constantly-evolving pageant-watching global audience. Unless the Latin American market reacts with a frown, that is.
