A couple of days back, I challenged him to a quick round of Q&A just to check how he would come up with spontaneous replies to relatively easy pageant-styled queries. Here are his unedited answers:
1) As a Misters of Pilipinas 2015 candidate, give me a 30-second intro about yourself which will make followers show more interest in you.
I’m Red Bayron, 21 years old. Aside from surfing, I do sketching as a hobby and photography as a profession. I am a product of a broken family. My mother left us since I was 8. But it made me a better and a stronger person. I put God first before anything else. Most people see me as strict, but they’re not aware until they would know me that I’m a funny person when I get comfortable with the people around me.
2) As one of the candidates, what image do you want to show the others?
I want others to see me as a friendly person. That’s my weak side since I’m a shy type of person.
3) Being host delegate for the Misters of Pilipinas 2015 in Mati, Davao Oriental, people expect you to take the lead in showing off the city. How will you build up Mati and Dahican Beach to everyone?
I want to show to them what Mati can offer. We are best known for our white coastline beaches, and one of them is Dahican. Mati speaks all about Dahican and many more.
4) Not everyone can win a special award in the competition, but if you are qualified for the following, which would you prefer to win: Mister Friendship or Mister Talent?
If I’ll choose to win a special award, I would prefer Mr. Friendship. Other than having a talent, when you’re friendly, it shows what you are as a person to other people.
5) If you win one of the titles, people will expect you to be a good role model. How will you start building that image if ever?
If I will win one of the titles, I’ll be a good role model by being sincere and honest in fulfilling the duties and responsibilities as a winner.
6) And finally, if yellow is the color of joy, what color best represents you and why?
Ok, he passed my interview. Time now to prove himself worthy in Misters of Pilipinas 2015. Watch out for Red Bayron as he banners Mati, Davao Oriental in the upcoming competition that is getting a lot of pageant followers all heated up by the day. ;-)My name bears the color of being brave. Red means being a fighter, and that’s me.
