Our Mr. Mekaniko for Misters 2015 The Pageant is basically a simple guy with reachable dreams. Ian Flores Alibo is not the type who would gun for the moon and the stars while searching for his place in the sun. But don’t take that as any indication that he will not give the serious effort in a challenge that will exceed all his previous endeavors.
Take for example this male competition he officially entered as Mister Davao del Norte. This is a big deal for him. So just to show that he will step up to the plate and up the ante, he is training long and hard. The gym is already his comfort zone, so he is going beyond the mere bulking up and prepping himself for the public appearances and Q&A, such as the one he did below. Read on.
1) As a Misters of Pilipinas 2015 candidate, give me a 30-second intro about yourself which will make followers show more interest in you.
I’m a simple guy, living in this simple world. I love to serve the church and I do believe that being a good person makes my life happy. I’m outgoing, friendly, committed to my work, responsible and God-fearing.
2) As one of the candidates, what image do you want to show the others?
The image I want to show to others is that of being helpful because I believe that when we know how to help, we will be blessed for the things we did. And we can make our world united.
3) In Miss Universe, a popular running line is “yellow is the color of joy”. What color best represents you?
White because it represents the goodness and pureness in my heart. And everytime I can see white, it can soothe myself and help me relax. Also, white is a symbol of purity, calmness and heavenly color.
4) Not everyone can win a special award in the competition, but if you are qualified for the following, which would you prefer to win: Mister Friendship or Mister Talent?
I prefer Mr. Friendship because I believe that this is me. I’m friendly and outgoing and I love making new friends.
5) If you win one of the titles, people will expect you to be a good role model. How will you start building that image if ever?
Even if i don’t get one of the titles, I’m already a good role model. At the age of 18, I started to do things that everyone can be proud of. I should continue being a good role model to others to spread camaraderie.
6) How do you see Misters 2015 The Pageant as a whole, considering that this will be your first big male pageant?
I hope that the competition will be fair and all the winners in this pageant are deserving enough to hold the title.
7) How do you expect your life to change after being named an Official Candidate of Misters of Pilipinas 2015?
In the world of pageants, your life will never be like before. Your life will never be as easy as before. You will have many friends and supporters but don’t forget the life that you left behind.
8) Any message to your followers, Ian?
One of the things that motivated me to join the pageant are my supporters. My family who never left me from the start. My FB friends who support me all the way. Thanks in advance for the additional help you will send my way.
