There will be a Miss Teen International 2016 scheduled for the last week of July in Jacksonville, Florida. And before anyone claims that this could just be a copy of the more established-but-now-extinct Miss Young International that originated from Japan, keep in mind that it can stand on its own significant platform for young women around the world.
In the pageant’s website, this is how the competition is summarized:
What Is Miss Teen International®?A FAMILY AFFAIR… The Miss Teen International® Pageant system has been developed to promote today’s teens, ages 13 – 18, and their accomplishments. Around the world women are finding this system to be the opportunity to work with others to become positive role models. Being the premiere pageant for young women has given Miss Teen International® a chance to open doors for all teenage women around the world…The event will give each contestant the opportunity to learn about customs and family life in other countries along with the chance to share her beliefs and make plenty of new friends during the entire week of activities leading up to two exciting nights of competition. Prizes and scholarships will be awarded to the winning contestant.
So your next query would be who will banner the Philippine representation in the said contest. If you check the website‘s current contestants link, there is a name under Philippines. She is 17 year-old Reissha Nicole Magadia who stands 5 ‘9″ and is currently a Legal Management Freshman at Ateneo de Manila University. I have personally met this girl at least twice in the past and she is just the sweetest. Her glow is very youthful and her facial beauty winsome.
This bright and charming teenager has been training with Aces & Queens for the past year. My hunch is that she will do well in Jacksonville, Florida. You have my full support, Nicole! :-)
