Gabriele Raine Abellana Baljak is a 19 year-old with the interesting quadruple mix of Filipino, Croatian, Spanish and Chinese origins in her blood. And just to add a little more spice to her pedigree, she is a beauty queen’s daughter, with her mother being Miss Cebu Tourism 1984 Mercedes Abellana-Brenner. Oh, and by the way, she is your Miss Cebu 2016.
Raine may have been born in Australia, but was raised in a farm in Maslog (Danao City) and later moved to Cebu where she now resides.

When she was crowned as Miss Cebu 2016 on Wednesday, she recalled searching for her mother in the audience first. Seeing her mother overjoyed was the highest moment of the night for her, Baljak said.
“Making her proud is one of the main reasons why I joined Miss Cebu. I love seeing my mother happy, especially with everything she has sacrificed for me and my brother,” Baljak added.
