It almost always happens that way given the cycle of years in the Chinese Zodiac and the age range that is usually inclusive of the youngest qualifier/s and the oldest contestant/s. This Chinese New Year of the Fire Monkey, those born under the signs of the Rat and Snake could prove luckier than most. And if we look at the potential years that will get the likely good fortune, those born in the years 1989 and 1996 are right on target. These ladies will either be aged 26 and 19, or the oldest and perhaps the youngest who are set to become Official Candidates for 2016.

Top of my head, quick examples would be the likes of Aiza Faeldonia, 26 and Anjelica Balatbat, 19.

A rat (youngest) and a snake (oldest) could be luckiest among the Bb. Pilipinas 2016 joiners

Of course, it wouldn’t be too wise to follow the thought along that line solely. There are so many factors that could help or deter any aspirant’s bid. Luck plays a vital part. But not to the point of significantly relying on the good fortune in store for each one of us.

At the end of the day, nothing beats solid preparation and flawless presentation to the screening committee prior to getting an inch closer to becoming an official contenders for one of the crowns.

For now, let me wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! May everything good and bountiful come your way in the during the reign of the Fire Monkey! ;-)

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
