All throughout my coverage of Bb. Pilipinas 2016, there are two Binibinis who never fail to catch my attention everytime – Dindi Pajares and Apriel Smith. The former charms me with her smile and sweet aura, while the latter drives me nuts with her infectious presence and wholesome demeanor.
I won’t dare ask the question why these two ladies did not end up winning any of the Top 8 spots. After all, the deep bench in this year’s batch is a clear indication that there will always be equally deserving contenders who just might go home practically empty-handed. Sadly to some extent, this duo was not able to get solid nods. And between the two of them, Dindi appears to be the more heartbroken one.
As for Apriel, my source is saying that she is likely to be back with a vengeance. Maybe not for next year, but in 2018 most likely. After all, she will only be 22 by then.
Dindi should be back at her job with Philippine Airlines by now. While my gut-feel about re-joining is not crystallizing yet, I won’t mind seeing her compete once.
