Your blogger is grateful that he got hooked on reading at a very early age

Pageants are my one true passion. And I very rarely run out of related things to write about it in this blogsite. But if it were not for books – and getting hooked on reading starting at the age of 7 – I would not have been able to acquire my love for words that gradually filled and developed my mind into a deep well of thoughts and ideas that continues to inspire me to translate my brainshots into penned (or blogged) outputs. I have always believed that a young mind that discovers the love for reading is always guaranteed to have an excellent vocabulary and, if the interest blooms, a boundless zest for writing.

This is not my typical subject matter. But it is with delight that I encourage everyone to drop by the Ayala Triangle Gardens starting today for Araw ng Aklat or Día de Libro where everyone can have more than just their usual fill of books and other interesting printed materials that could hopefully start you up into reading actively or picking up the habit – regardless of age or interests.

If you don’t like reading books, then try getting into digitalized formats in your smartphones or iPads. Nothing beats flipping pages the old-fashioned way, though.

See you at the Gardens!😉
