Yesterday afternoon at the Best Western Plus Antel Hotel, the final judging for Air Asia Runway Ready Designer Search 2016 was held with the announcement of the Top 3 winners who will separately make up Team Philippines for the KL Fashion Week scheduled this coming August in the Malaysian capital.
Mary Camille Veloso & Bea Samson from Slim’s Fashion School and Ron Xavier Santos from the Fashion Institute of Design and Arts are the lucky young designers who will fly to Kuala Lumpur where they stand a chance to win as “Asia’s Most Promising Young Designer 2016” which comes with a prize of at least PhP4,000,000.00 (or RM350,000) including a confirmed show segment to showcase his/her collection at KLFW RTW2017; mentorship from the KLFW RTW Team and at least PhP250,000.00 (or RM25,000) sponsored by FashionValet.com to produce a capsule collection to be sold on said site plus 150,000 Air Asia Big Points sponsored by Air Asia BIG, Air Asia or Air Asia X flights and more!
The judging panel included Andrew Tan (Founder of Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week RTW), Vivy Yusof (Founder of FashionValet), Fashion Designer Anthony Cesar Ramirez, Patrick Galang (Fashion Editor of L’Officiel Manila) and Captain Rolando Ching (Air Asia Philippines Chief Pilot for Training).
