Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach goes up one notch higher in adding more substance to her reign. In a photo shared by Jonas Gaffud, she is seen attending a high-level meeting at the United Nations in NYC on ending AIDS and zeroing in on a more fast-track approach to the global problem. And this clearly indicates the kind of titleholder the Miss Universe Organization is looking for – an excellent public speaker who can tackle her personal cause in a more definitive manner. It’s no longer about glitz and glam and photoshoots and public appearances in expensive gowns and pricey heels. The next Miss Universe should really have a solid platform by which she can give more meaning to the title.
Truly, Queen P is a tough act to follow. And by now, the whole Universe is getting a clearer understanding of how her successor should ideally be.
