Ok. I don’t really mind seeing all these Tourism titles one after the other. But Miss Tourism World Philippines 2014 is aiming for something record-breaking. That is, if the organizers are dead serious with the grand vision. Are they really?
They plan to have Two hundred (200) Official Candidates for the national finals to establish not one but two (2) Guinness World Records as the beauty pageant with the biggest number of participants and the biggest stage. Perhaps, they could also gun for two more world records – longest introduction of candidates and pageant finals with the longest running time. I’m not trying to be a jester here, mind you.
As of now, the coronation night is scheduled for June 1, 2014 at the SM MOA Arena. I wish the people behind it the best of luck because this is going to be one tough objective. But hey, let’s give them the benefit of the doubt.
Before wrapping up this post, can someone tell me why Aiyana Mickiewicz is no longer the reigning winner? One of her runners-up (Crislet Rase Gerona) last year is now wearing the Miss Tourism World Philippines 2013 sash. Was there a resignation, abdication, dethronement or what-have-you somewhere?
