Photos from Mr. World 2014

The days went by so fast. Just when you started looking at their photos arriving in Torquay, fitness testing for the physical challenges, running through the mudflats at Lympstone, auditioning for the talent fast-track, sailing and catching rubber ducks in the bay, playing tug-o-war on the beach, celebrating the strategically-dated birthdays of a few candidates, watching a musical play, and rehearsing for the finals – a new Mr. World has been selected and is now in our midst.

In between all the activities, the male contenders made sure that friendships are made and sustained. They may have been divided in four color-coded teams, but it did not prevent overlapping of bonding while looking for the personalities who match each other’s quirks.

The brotherhood that is Mr. World 2014

Nicklas Perdersen of Denmark claimed what everyone else wanted to win for their respective countries. And his victory seemed to sit well with the rest. There are the pro-Mexico and pro-Nigeria fans and supporters who keep on hollering that their bets were robbed. But at the end of the day, what’s more important is that – among the 46 desirable men themselves – there is nothing in the world they would exchange the Mr. World 2014 experience for.

I bet some of them wouldn’t mind re-living the days once more. ;-)
