Miss Universe 1964 Corinna Tsopei of Greece
August 1, 1964. It has been a little over fifty (50) years since Corinna Tsopei of Greece won the 13th Miss Universe Pageant inside the Miami Beach Auditorium. And this beautiful lady – who went on to do Hollywood movies for a while – is considered to be one of the loveliest titleholders in the beauty contest we all love and look forward for decades now.
Come January, when the 63rd Miss Universe returns to Miami, the ultra-modern version of the competition will enchant us even more despite the much-ballyhooed (albeit less than pleasant) delays.
For now, let us all watch a documentary of the edition where the Greek Goddess Corinna prevailed over the other candidates. Do keep an eye on the late Myrna Panlilio who was Miss Philippines that year. ;-)
