Ellyz Santos for Laoang, Northern Samar in MPE2016

Ellyz Lee Santos is a 23 year-old Entrepreneur who is bannering Laoang, Northern Samar in Miss Philippines Earth 2016. In jest, this lady would state that she sells drugs for a living – which is true being a Pharmacist and all. But more than the nature of her profession, she is proud that her municipality has been awarded “Best in Environmental Safeguard”. And she is bringing this achievement to the competition to further her bid in becoming one of the most qualified advocates for Mother Earth among the close to fifty contenders for the crown.

“I want to be Miss Philippines Earth 2016 because I want to be part of the change and winning this crown would let me help people in a wider range…

Humans are not going to stop throwing trash and nobody wants to see an increase in landfill garbage. That’s why, I advocate recycling programs to minimize the impact on the environment and to promote ecotourism.”

Ellyz may be considered an underdog in the contest, but I have a feeling she will shine bright once given the chance to show her worth. She speaks well and can voice out her platform for the environment with much zeal and enthusiasm.
