Sunday Specials: Rise, Catriona. Rise!

When all sorts of buzz floated online about Catriona Gray finally following the footsteps of her bosom buddy Valerie Weigmann in Miss World Philippines, I decided not to lift all ten fingers yet. And when I finally got some faint hints from reliable individuals that she may have finally said yes, I waited a little longer for a more solid evidence to back me up. So the minute Arnold Mercado of Aces & Queens posted a picture of him (and Catriona) with an accompanying caption welcoming the beautiful lass as his newest “anak” (daughter), it was the clear sign I have been waiting for. While Jonas Gaffud did post another photo (see below), it was a welcome to Mercator which could still be interpreted as getting modeling assignments from the agency. The former image is definitely more telling.

I know that this post could be seen as getting ahead of the story. But let’s say – just for the sake of a friendly argument – Catriona really makes good with the joining and becomes next in line to the crown of Hillarie Parungao, don’t you think she really has the Miss World peg in perfect fit like a cookie cutter? She has the beauty, the brains, model aura and the talent (watch below).
