Your blogger is in a happy mood.
Starting today (and till a day before the Miss World 2013 finals), we shall be having a prediction contest. The winner will be given prizes (nothing eye-popping or uber expensive) to be announced at a later date. Even those from outside the Philippines are free to join (with the prize adjusted according to one’s location – hopefully).
The mechanics are simple:
Predict the winner of Miss World 2013 and her two (2) Princesses. The person who correctly nails the 1-2-3 ranking wins. In the event that nobody gets the right combination, your blogger will determine the winner based on who comes closest to the final result.
- For example, a prediction with the right Miss World 2013 but wrong Princesses will get a better chance than someone who has the right Princesses but the wrong Miss World 2013. But when two or more people correctly predict the Miss World 2013 winner but not the Princesses, whichever entry has his/her own guesses as Princesses included in the actual Top 7 finalists will be declared winner. Having both predicted Princesses will outweigh having just one.
- Another scenario is when more than one (1) entry predicts Miss World 2013 right but switches/misses the correct placement of the Princesses. In this case, having both Princesses (but interchanged in ranking) is given advantage. When nobody meets the said condition, an entry with the right 1-and-2 will be declared winner, with a correct 1-and-3 combo to be given next priority.
- A third possibility is when you have all the actual Top 3 predicted, but in the wrong order. This gets low consideration simply because guessing Miss World 2013 right is the most important. It’s like when all else fails, that is the only time for this combination to gain points.
- Lastly, when two or more entries contain the correct 1-2-3 placement, the winner will be drawn by your blogger. You need to trust me on this. I will have a witness in the drawing if ever.
For those interested to join, I suggest that – instead of posting your answers to this post – reserve your final predictions in an email to be sent to: norman.blogsite@gmail.com
I will only entertain questions on areas of the fun contest where the mechanics might still be unclear.
And don’t worry about sharing too much info about yourself in the email. A poster name will do. The eventual winner of the contest, though, will need to disclose his/her real name and mailing address to your blogger for the sending of prizes.
Ready? Start analyzing your choices now. The moment your predictions are emailed, you have only one (1) chance to change answers on or before September 27, 2013 at 7:00PM.
